What can I say... Last night was a great-time. Thank you to everyone that came out.  I had the pleasure of seeing some people I haven't seen in quite some time.  That was a real special treat.  There were disco balls, a portable dance pole,  oh, and I can't forget to say "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" and we'll just leave it right.there ;-)
As for my kick ass wife and "It Ain't Chemo" founder and kick a$$ friend, Kevin Hoyt, they surprised me with a birthday gift I will NEVER forget.
A Little back story...  Woke up yesterday morning and Jax insisted that I take HER cell phone with me. So, I took it to the gym and even brought it on the mat (left it in the corner).  She said I HAD to keep the phone with me at all times. So, I did the best I could.  All the hub-bub about the phone, but nothing was happening.  Jump a head to later in the night.  The party was definitely jumpin, and I had completely forgotten about "the phone".  Jax finds me and says the phone call is for me.  Well, finally something is about to happen with this thing!  I answer the phone and on the other end is a kind and soft-spoken voice.  The voice says, "Hi Mike, it's Randy Couture..." I immediately turn to Jax and shout to her, "IS THIS FOR REAL?"   Thinking I'm possibly getting punk'd, or something.  She nods her head and says, yes it is for real.  Now reality has this very weird effect, and spins very quickly around, and then snaps right back into place, and I AM ON THE PHONE WITH CAPTAIN AMERICA!  OH EM GEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I tell him what an honor it is to be on the phone with him.  He wished me a very happy and special birthday.  He then tells me that he had seen the "True Warrior" sizzle and is aware of the fight that we are faced with (cancer for those new to it).  He graciously extends an open invitation to train at Extreme Couture.  I thanked him for the call and he, again, wishes me another great night and a happy birthday and we say goodbye with the mutual understanding that we will meet, face to face.  SHABANG!

 Jax and Kev, thank you so much!  I really can't formulate the words to say how much that meant to me...  You guys are amazing and are loved deeply.

You know, now that I think of it... That will make quite a team.  Captain America AND Superman!

Gettin it in order for my trip to The Mitten on Wednesday. Locking in plans to record some amazing music with Jimmy Scott, John Connors, Gregory Liceraga and Erik Hanson. Off to the gym I go and then we'll see what happens after that. Have a great day and I LOVE you all and it's great to be ALIVE!!!!!!!!!

I just spoke with him yesterday and I think I will be flying to Florida to do his tests and getting educated. What a blessing! Unspeakable gratitude for you Mr. Baker.

Reason #4,872 to be happy and alive... Gettin it done as a family! Nothing feels as good as that! Been to the gym at 5:30 and headed back for my training with Michael's Wellness Center at 9. Great Thursday to you! Happy Cinco de Mayo! Gonna train this morning at 9:30 and then on the job hunt again. Back to the hospital for a CT scan later this afternoon. Practice after that and then a detox bath to rid the body of the CT contrast crapola! I'm grateful and know it could be much much worse. Gonna rock this mutha! Love to you all and the Word of the Day is "PATH". ♥

Quartz Hill High School boys volleyball team did it again!!! Whooped up on Antelope Valley on a very special night. Eagle Rock got in there and put it down. Love you Joe! If we all had the heart you have, the world would would be magnificent. I'm gonna hang my boys by their little socks...Losing three winning three. Still love 'em though. They are great young men. Can we please end the season with a win? I think we can!!!

TGIF! It's here and much to do. Up early to go get some training in with Madison Hope and then it's get'em to school and on to the hospital right away for the PET Scan. Last volleyball game of the season for my boys tonight vs. Little Rock. GO REBELS! Oh yeah, musicians wanted to come record in my studio, for cheap! The LOVE Train's a rollin'.

W O W! QHHS Boys Volleyball - Varsity just played some amazing volleyball tonight! Those boys are something else! All League selections are in the morning and I will be representing for coach Vance Goodell! CIF tourney starts Monday and It's gonna be awesome! QHHS JV Boys, I am so proud of you guys and how far we've com in such a short time. Love you guys so much! GO REBELS

Stellar training session yesterday with Carlo Jay Magno, Manny Alceda and Tom Kemp. Workin the Greco Roman/dirty boxing. Loved it but MAN, it's a dirty way to play! haha ! Anyway, It's Easter and I want to wish you a very happy and beautiful day. Love you guys! Word of the Day is "RESURRECTION". ♥

ATTN: EKHS friends, I am saddened deeply at news of the loss of a dear dear man. Mr. Schon Washington has passed this evening. I am waiting more information from his family and will pass it on when I receive it, or reach out to Glynn ,his brother, here on facebook. Please keep the Washington family in your thoughts and prayers! ToTal BS.... Rest easy Schon, rest easy. ♥

It's a new day!  Some perspective, please. :-)  Had a good nights sleep and feel mo-betta.  Good mornin!

The Journey - The short version:
 The "team" has become skeptical of the "mass" that still remains.  It is just on the cusp of their limits for concern.  Blood work came back good, but the recurrence of Non-Hodgkin's-Lymphoma/Diffuse Large B-Cell is possible.  Sooo, they are having a "special" meeting to discuss yours truly on May 17 and on the 18th we go in to talk to them.  I will be back in for CT and PET Scans next week.  They're thinking radiation!  Oh joy... BUT - all I know is, that PB(Punk Bitch for the nubes)is NOT active right now and that is fact - NOT a guess or a statistic.  Just sayin...

 Anyway, got some "tear your head off" metal blasting from iTunes, the sun is shining and I am in a great mood.  Going to the gym to get my training on!  Grateful for my FAMILY and FRIENDS to the "nth-degree".  Phrase of the Day is "CUT ME MICK".  ♥

Couldn't quite get it going completely... my boys played well but hitting errors killed us. We are a much better team than P. Knight High. Gotta chalk this one up to... "we'll get'em next time!" Proud of ya guys, Eastside tomorrow night! Let's go REBELS!
Again my boys came up short. However, I still feel very proud of them. They are an OUTSTANDING group of young men. Busy with a tournament this weekend and then the final week of regular season. I love these guys and it's been my privilege to be their coach. We'll finish strong! GO REBELS!

ok... let's rock! Going to train this morning-as usual-and then QHHS Boys Volleyball - Varsity is in a two day tourney and I get to go. Going to be a good time for sure. Oh, forgot to give the dates... CT Scan is May 5 and the PET Scan is May 6. The beginning of the next part of some journey we're supposed be on...I guess! Anyway-Have a great day and love you guys. Going to Palmdale High this morning with Bob Anderson and Tom Kemp to do a demonstration of the training we do at Tapout Antelope Valley. Went back to TKD last night at Lancaster Ata. They have a family class which was great to do w/ the kids. Madison Hope and I stayed for regular class after too. I love you! Word of the Day is "RETURN".♥

Holy Moly!!!!!! What a night! Congrats to Vance Goodell and the boys for pulling out a victory for Quartz Hill High... YES - GO REBELS! For what it's worth, Lancaster High is legit and has a very very good team! My JV boys are making a name for themselves too. Winning convincingly, OVER and OVER! I am very proud of them to say the least. Great job guys, way to go!
